Final Decision Regarding Examination by the University of Punjab

Are you wondering about the final decision taken by the University of Punjab regarding the examination? Then you will get your answer by reading this blog. On May 15, 2020, the University announced on its official website about its final decision. The majority of the students do not understand this notification, and they are worried about it. Let me explain, what the University decided about the final paper. This is in four different parts, and every part consists of important information for all students. The detail is as under;

Notification No. 01

The summary of notification no. One is as under:

For B.A./B.Sc./Associate Degree in Science/Arts Part – I 

The University decided that all the students belonging to B.A./B.Sc./Associate Degree in Science/Arts Part – 1 will have to appear in traditional examination mode. Their papers will be conducted on October 01, 2020, onwards.

M.A./M.Sc. Part – I, B.Com. Part – I/Associate Degree Commerce Part – I

It is decided that students of these programs must have to appear in the traditional method of examination, and the papers will be conducted from November 02, 2020, onwards.

B.A./B.Sc. Part – II

All students of BA/BSc Part-III must appear in the traditional examination system will be conducted on December 02, 2020, Onwards. This is for those students who will not appear in the examination of July-August 2020.

M.A./M.Sc. Part – II & B.Com. Part – II 

All students of MA/MSc. And B.Com. Part – II must appear in the traditional examination system will be conducted on January 04, 2021, onwards. This is for those students who will not appear in the examination conducted in September 2020.

Notification No. 02

The summary of notification no. 02 is as under:

B.A./B. Sc. Part – II

The examination of students of BA and B.Sc. will be conducted from July 22, 2020, to August 25, 2020.

M.A./M.Sc. Part – II & B.Com. Part – II

The examination of students of MA/MSc. And B.Com. Part-II will be conducted from September 07, 2020, to September 30, 2020. The University announced to these students to get ready for both the traditional as well as MCQ’s based Online examinations. If the Covid-19 situation gets normal and the Government allowed to open the educational institutes, then examination mode will be traditional; otherwise, it would be online based on MCQs. The point to be noted here that if students do not appear in online examinations must inform the University, so they could be able to look for the traditional examination in January 2021.  

 

Notification No. 03

This notification is for semester system programs of the University, and the summary of this notification is as under:

Odd Semester Remaining Examinations 2020 (Affiliated Colleges)

The students of all the affiliated colleges with Punjab University waiting for odd semester examinations will appear for exams on August 11, 2020. The mode of the examination will be traditional.

MBA/BBA/MCOM/BSCS with Remaining Supplies 2019 (Annual System) 

The students of MBA, BBA, MCOM, and BSCS programs with the annual system, not Semester must be appearing in the traditional mode of examinations on August 11, 2020.

Even Semester Examinations 2020 (Affiliated Colleges)

The students who belonged to even Semester falls in 2020 must appear for examinations conducted in October 2020. Moreover, the mode of examinations would be traditional.

MBA/BBA/MCOM/BSCS with Remaining Supplies 2020 (Annual System) 

The students of MBA/BBA/MCOM/BSCS with the annual system as per program 2020 must appear for examinations to be conducted in October 2020. The mode of their examinations would also be traditional.

Notification No. 04

This notification is for Faculty of Law, and the summary of this notification is as under:

LL.B. 3 Years and 5 Years Part – III and in 10th Semester 

The students of LL.B. Part III for three years and five years must appear for examinations conducted on September 07, 2020. The mode of examination will be traditional if the Covid-19 situation gets normal. Otherwise, these examinations would be Online MCQ’s basis. So students have to get ready for both online as well as traditional examination system.

LL.B. 3 Years and 5 Years Part – I, II, III, and IV 

The date of the examination of these students would be announced later.
